THE STORY SO FAR

went for service learning at orange valley nursing home. it was super duper fun! all the chatting, playing and taking photos with the old folks were all worth it sacrificing some time with them. some were quite sociable, but some were quite scary and quiet. maybe we don't know how to speak their language that's why they don't talk to us when we talk to them. haha. but one of the uncle there was really very scary. whatever we gave him, he didn't want to take it. there must be a reason why he is like that, so nvm. everything was planned well, except the performance we were suppose to perform. it was quite screwed up. why i say screwed up is because, some old folks can even sleep while we were performing! so i think it wasn't that good. but shane's dancing moves woke all of them up, and smiles started appearing from their faces. so that's better than nothing. we go there is to bring smiles and laughters to them, not to let them fall asleep. so thanks to shane. haha. played "pass the parcel". i got to do forfeit twice for the aunty luh.me: ah ma, ni yao fa wo zuo she me? (ah ma, what do you want me to do for the forfeit?)aunty: wo yao ni pa. (i want you to crawl.)and i crawled twice for both forfeits. i was lucky to not need to dance or sing in front of everybody. haha. when we were wanting to leave, some of the old folks started tearing/crying. we, as students also almost teared/cried. we all felt relunctant to leave the place. unfortunately, we couldn't stay longer. so sad.. I LOVE AND MISS ALL OF THEM! (:the cute faces of all the old folks, makes me smile
